Why is it best to go in spring and fall?
The weather is warm during the day and cool in the evenings, perfect for exploring without melting.
There are less tourists.
I love to go in the spring I can stay out all day and still feel comfortable.

How to get to Marvão from Lisbon
By bus: 7 Rios bus station via Rede Expressos
A car gives you the freedom to stop at castles, vineyards, stone circles, and quiet villages along the way.

When is the best time for a Marvão road trip?
Spring and autumn.
Winter is colder, and the streets are quieter, but the fog makes everything look straight out of a medieval storybook. I love going in the winter.
If you go in July, yes, it’s hot, but there’s a classical music festival that makes it all bearable.
Temperatures in Marvão in May
